FAFCE’s President, Vincenzo Bassi, recently participated on a panel in Porto, Portugal. The conference was held at the Palácio da Bolsa, hosted by the Associação Comercial do Porto (Porto’s Chamber of Commerce) and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Porto.
Entitled “Healthy Aging – Challenges to prolong active life”, the panel focused on the intergenerational balance and solidarity our societies need. The conference as a whole was entitled Debate on Demographic Challenges in the 21st Century. You can find the webpage here.
Vincenzo Bassi was joined on the panel by Eduardo Oliveira, member of the Faculty of Economics Executive Committee at the University of Porto and principal researcher in the Organisations & Management group at cef.up – the University of Porto’s Centre for Economics and Finance.
FAFCE would like to send its warmest thanks to José Gagliardini (Porto-based lawyer and President of the Alumni Board at the Catholic University of Portugal; pictured above on the left) for his collaboration in this conference that importantly spotlighted the centrality of demographic challenges to our present and future. FAFCE would also like to thank Dário Freitas, a lawyer and member of the Catholic University of Portugal’s Alumni Board (pictured above to the right).
